My hot water smells like burnt hair and sewage?

We just bought a house and of course had to fix pretty much all the pipes. Well got that done and now when I turn on the hot water it starts to smell like burnt hair then the longer it runs it smells like sewage. I have well water, the water heater looks newer and the cold water don't smell. What can I do to fix the smell and is it safe to drank?
