This happened after i restored my ipod?

A popup from itunes says this ;"Itunes cannot read the contents of the ipod "Ipod Touch". Go to the summary tab in Ipod reference and click restore this Ipod to factory settings". I keep doing it, and the pop up keeps coming back up. My ipod obviously is already restored to factory settings, because i just restored it an hour ago. What did i do, did i break my ipod?
