Does system restore get rid of Vista Total Security 2011?

I tried the system restore today this afternoon and I dont see anymore warnings popups or anything not even the slightest sight of that annoying *** virus. Does this mean it is gone or just trying to trick me?Im still worried thats why I ask ive heard it is a very tricky and deceptive virus. I restored it back to Saturday morning way before it happened on Saturday night .I am scanning with malware bytes right now just in case.
